As of July 2024, I was officially declared a breast cancer survivor. Life after cancer has come with its own set of challenges, but in the midst of it, I found something unexpected—calligraphy. Learning this art has brought me peace, purpose, and joy. Through Inks & Flourish, I now have the privilege of sharing that joy with others.
Calligraphy has a unique way of slowing the body and calming the mind. It’s more than just beautiful writing; it’s a grounding, meditative practice. My hope is to introduce this peaceful art form to others, so they too can find moments of stillness and clarity when life feels overwhelming.
Calligraphy is for everyone! I call it a practice for a reason—it’s the practice of slowing down and being fully present. Just you, the pen, the ink, and the paper.
Whether you’re looking to host a creative gathering with friends and family or planning a team-building experience for your company, calligraphy offers a refreshing and meaningful way to connect. You’ll be surprised at how much you’ll learn—and how much fun you’ll have along the way!
1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer.
Thankfully, today a diagnosis doesn’t have to be a death sentence. But what many don’t talk about is what comes after—the part where survivors are expected to return to “normal” when life feels anything but.
Post-cancer life brings a different kind of struggle. It’s about healing not just physically, but emotionally. It’s about rediscovering who you are and finding a new rhythm in a life that has changed in ways big and small. Many survivors are still fighting—this time, for stability, purpose, and peace.
That’s why a percentage of Inks & Flourish’s profits will go to organizations that support breast cancer survivors as they navigate this ongoing journey. It’s one way I can give back—and help others find their own way forward.
Charity to be named soon.
